Livestream Silvester / Neujahr Berlin 2016/2017

On New Year's Eve, the city of Berlin invites guests and Berliners alike to celebrate the beginning of a new year with a huge open air party. The celebrations with live bands, DJs and a spectacular fireworks display at midnight are free of charge and attract about one million people every year. The ensuing party continues until the early morning hours of New Year's Day.

New Year's Eve between Brandenburg Gate and Victory Column

The New Year's Eve celebrations take place on a two-kilometre long stretch of "Straße des 17. Juni" between Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column. The festival programme includes a number of live music performances, light and laser shows, and DJ sets. Along the festival area, food stands offer snacks from all over the world.
Opening Hours 2016/2017

The festival area is open Friday, 30 December 2016 from 14:00 – 20:00 for general rehearsals. On New Year's Eve (Saturday), gates open at 14:00. Between 14:00 and 18:30 that day, visitors can witness a number of live rehearsals for the evening. The official entertainment programme starts at 19:00. The fireworks are ignited at midnight, the party kicks off at 00:30. There is no official closing time.
Participating artists 2016

Artists on the main stage in 2016 are: Jermaine Jackson, DJ BoBo, Marianne Rosenberg, Rainhard Fendrich, Max Giesinger, Bonnie Tyler, Peter Schilling, Fun Factory, La Bouche, Wincent Weiss, Radio Future and Hermes House Band.
Admission & Security Policy at the New Year's Eve Party

Admission to the festival area is free. To prevent overcrowding, the area is closed-off at a certain point. Security checks are carried out at all entrances. It is prohibited to bring any kind of fireworks, pointed or sharp items, or any other items which could be used as weapons. This also applies to glass bottles, backpacks and other large bags.

Zu dem grandiosen Silvester-Spektakel werden am Brandenburger Tor bis zu eine Million Besucher aus aller Welt erwartet, die auf der zwei Kilometer langen Partymeile bis zur Siegessäule zu fetten Beats und tollen Live-Bands die Hüften kreisen lassen. Und das bei freiem Eintritt. Wer in Berlin lebt oder Berlin besucht, der muss Silvester am Brandenburger Tor auf jeden Fall einmal erlebt haben!

Wie üblich wird ein Bühnenprogramm aus internationalen Musikstars die Säulen des Brandenburger Tors zum Zittern bringen.
