Radio Regenbogen wird 30 – und feiert diesen Geburtstag mit seinen Hörern gleich doppelt: Am 21. April 2018 gilt „Party pur“ in der Mannheimer SAP Arena und gleichzeitig in der dm-arena auf dem Messegelände in Karlsruhe. Zwölf Musik-Acts und Star-Comedians präsentieren ein fast vierstündiges Programm, das so bunt ist wie das Senderlogo – und der Soundtrack unseres Lebens: Die Musiker und Sänger haben die Hörer von Radio Regenbogen auf ihrem Weg durch die vergangenen drei Jahrzehnte begleitet. Mit dabei sind unter anderem Wincent Weiss, Atze Schröder, Ingo Appelt, Max Giesinger, Stefanie Heinzmann, Michael Patrick Kelly, The Sweet, Lou Bega, Amy Macdonald, Paul Young und Ofenbach. Motto: Eine Mega-Geburtstags-Party für die ganze Familie. Die langsamen Schmusesongs bleiben an diesem Abend in der Kiste. Der Clou: Karlsruhe und Mannheim feiern nicht „parallel“, sondern per Live-Schalte „miteinander“.

Für Interviews aber auch für Live-Auftritte wie bei den legendären „Beach Partys“, der „Radio Regenbogen Popkantine“ oder der „Arena of Pop“ mit mehr als 100.000 Fans vor dem Mannheimer Schloss waren Künstler wie Stefanie Heinzmann oder in den 90ern Lou Bega oft zu Gast bei Radio Regenbogen. Auch die Karrieren von Wincent Weiss und Max Giesinger hat Radio Regenbogen von Anfang an begleitet.
